Megalomaniac

Sometimes Cap'n Carl sends an email which is just irked enough that it deserves posting.

I think we all sense that there is something radically wrong with our political system. There is nothing or very little wrong with the system. Its the people in it that are the problem.

Megalomaniac.

We have all heard or seen word but may not be to sure what it means. So here is your definition.
Megalomania is a non-clinical word defined as:

1. A psycho-pathological condition characterized by delusional fantasies of wealth, power, or omnipotence.

2. An obsession with grandiose or extravagant things or actions.
Bertrand Russell has a famous quotation on megalomania: "The megalomaniac differs from the narcissist by the fact that he wishes to be powerful rather than charming, and seeks to be feared rather than loved. (see Machiavelli on this subject). To this type belong many lunatics and most of the great men of history."

I would change "great men" to "infamous men." Now, guess who fits this description to a tea?

Well... you get partial credit if you said "all politicians." It fits all politicians to one degree or another.
