Bowe Berdahl is "free"

Sgt. Bowe Berdahl is free -- How can anyone be unhappy about this?  No American will complain when our nation's soldiers are freed from enemy captivity.  Obama knew this when he broke the law and illegally negotiated with terrorists, as if they are legitimate government, to free Sgt Berdahl in exchange for five terrorists Obama had been keeping at Gitmo.

"We didn't negotiate with terrorists," Mr. Hagel said on NBC's "Meet the Press." "And I said and explained before, Sergeant Bergdahl is a prisoner of war. That's a normal process in getting your prisoners back."

That is the normal process with a legitimate enemy government, but Hagel doesn't see the difference either.  Mr Hagel and Mr Obama have just told the world the Taliban is a legitimate government.  Mr Obama's attempt to belittle the Republicans and confuse the American public has worked out well for the enemies of freedom everywhere.

Presumably, Sgt Bergdahl knew when he enlisted that he would be called upon to fight, kill, and possibly lose his life for the United States.  Sgt Bergdahl was willing to lay down all his tomorrows in order to protect the US against her enemies.  I rejoice that he has come home alive, but I know he has been betrayed.  Everything he was willing to trade his life for has been traded away from him.  Obama did no act of mercy --- he traded away Sgt Bergdahl's honor.

There might be an even stranger story brewing.  Sgt Bergdahl may be a deserter to the Taliban.  Bergdahl reportedly said he was "ashamed to even be American."  Bergdahl's dad, Robert Bergdahl, speaks Pashto, the language of the Taliban.  It might be Obama traded five enemies of America for one.
