Health Care Reform - update

The Obama-Pelosi health care "reform" plan:

1. Have the federal government administer everything.
2. Citizens consume medical care
     a. Citizens are ordinary.
     b. Citizens are not unique.
     c. Citizens are not special.
3. Government approved health control is phenomenaly expensive and wasteful.
4. Government issued care fits everyone
5. The politically connected get special treatment. The kind anyone could have gotten before.

Good health care reform plan would include the following:

1. Let families and businesses buy health insurance across state lines.
2. Allow individuals, small businesses, and trade associations to pool together and acquire health insurance at lower prices, the same way large corporations and labor unions do.
3. Give states the tools to create their own innovative reforms that lower health care costs.
4. End junk lawsuits that contribute to higher health care costs by increasing the number of tests and procedures that physicians must order, not because they think it's good medicine, but because Doctors are afraid of being sued.

The Obama-Pelosi plan has none of these elements. The Obama-Pelosi plan is irresponsible at best and rotten at least.
