Rep. Rashida Tlaib boasts Allah has given Muslims a chance to show power in Georgia

In regard to two key US Senate races run offs in Georgia, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, (D-Mich) said, "I hope that you realize just the pportunity here that Allah has given us to show the power of Muslims in Georgia.”

Tlaib, one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congress (the other being Ilhan Omar [D-Minn]), said during an online 'vote-a-thon.' “I want people to be like, oh my God, I didn’t even know Muslims are in Georgia. … Exactly! Because we’re going to show them in droves of numbers.”

(Washington Examiner).

Islam does not bother me, but the will to power these two representatives display is a bad sign for democracy.  Power is a bigger god to Tlaib and Omar than Allah.  Democracy can continue only when the elected servants of the people  remember their office is to serve, not to rule.
