OSHA to Enforce "Vaccine" Mandates

The Biden administration said on Thursday that large companies have until Jan. 4 to ensure that their workforces are fully vaccinated under a sweeping new coronavirus health measure that will affect 84 million private sector workers, including an estimated 31 million workers who are currently unvaccinated (The NY Times).

Employers with more than 100 employees must ensure that all their workers are either fully vaccinated or subject to weekly testing and mask wearing. Fully vaccinated means that the employee has received two doses of Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech’s shots, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson’s shot.

According to senior administration officials, OSHA will assist employers to develop their vaccine and testing standards. Fines for willfully failing to comply with the mandate could reach as much as $14,000 per violation, with the potential for multiple citations per business (Fox News).

The Biden administration's edict is illicit.   In the United States, making a new law requires legislation enacted by Congress, which is supposed to be a deliberative process.  This process cannot be legally bypassed by Presidential whim. I wonder how many OSHA enforcers will be injured acting as Stasi-type enforcers. 

The original intent of OSHA was to promote health and safety on the job.  Now the agency is to force conformity to Biden era mandate on private health decisions -- if someone decides not to take the COVID inoculation, the employer is to be fined.   

This treats safety and health as if they are are gangster style concerns.  OSHA will be corrupted into a thuggery.  This will be permanent corruption.  Whatever good OSHA could have done will be destroyed.

The Dhillon Law Group, Inc. and Alliance Defending Freedom filed the legal challenge on behalf of The Daily Wire in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. The mandate requires all private employers of 100 or more employees to force unvaccinated employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, be subject to weekly testing, or lose their job. Attorneys for The Daily Wire will also file an emergency motion to stay the mandate (The Daily Wire).

“We’re not the enforcement arm of the federal government. Forcing Americans to choose between their livelihoods and their freedom is a grotesque abuse of power and we won’t be a party to it,” [Jeremy] Boreing said. “We will not incur the cost of implementing this testing regime. We will not incur the liability of inserting ourselves into the private health decisions and information of our employees. Our company was founded to stand against tyranny, and we will” (The Daily Wire).

When my physician suggested I get the COVID inoculation, I did.  Subsequent research shows it has limited effective duration.  The shot is not a real vaccine but an experiment in therapeutic production  of antibodies, whether or not there is an infection present.  

A real vaccine activates the human body's system to recognize an infectious virus and produce antibodies when needed.  In this sense, a real vaccine still needs to be developed.  If Mr Biden is to be a "science" President, as he claimed, he will sponsor a government effort to create such a vaccine.
