Gov. Greg Abbott said the suspect “shot and killed horrifically and incomprehensibly” more than a dozen students and a teacher. The suspect also allegedly shot and killed his grandmother before entering the school and again opening fire. The 18-year-old suspect, a student at Uvalde High School, is also dead (ABC).
It did not take President Biden long to politicize the tragedy (Twitter).
During his remarks, Biden didn’t use the time to honor the victims and their families. Instead, he rehashed old jokes about deer wearing Kevlar and ranted while reading the teleprompter. He also claimed it was time for Congress to “do something,” but did not say what specific law would have prevented the killer from carrying out his heinous crimes. He blamed the situation on “the gun lobby” (Katie Pavlich - Townhall).

This is a horrific attack. We need to increase the safety of children in schools. A secure perimeter, like a fence and locked doors, would be a start. Armed guards may be needed; each school should be able to hire guards. Bu the Democrats would rater fix blame. Children's lives don't seem to matter to the Democrats.
But the Democrats immediately seek to politicize this tragedy. Democrats cannot be trusted to help solve this. They want to make everything political and give themselves an advantage in the polls.
