The assassination attempt on Justice Kavanaugh (after Biden's intimidation campaign)
Video interview with Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch
Federal law protects federal judges and specifically prohibits picketing or parading at a judge's home (18 U.S. Code § 1507 - Picketing or parading)
Why does the law protect federal judges? Shouldn't we have the freedom to let the government know how we feel?
Yes, but the right to tell the government what we feel is limited to the legislature & president. We have the right to complain to them when they formulate law and the right to follow up when we want the law changed. A judge works to apply the existing law. This is the rule of law -- the same process by which we are all equal before the law.
To harass or intimidate a judge is to try to split We the People into unequal classes, so the law is not applied equally. This is asks the judge to legislate from the bench. That is an old mainstay of the elitist left. They do not want rule of law; they want to be above the law.
