Middle East Speech Muddle

Obama missed an opportunity to apologize for America. That's the only bright spot in an otherwise failed speech.

Middle Easterners have already grown distrustful of Obama. In their mind, he has frittered away the hope they had in him from his 2009 Cairo speech.

Obama claimed he was with the Egyptians from the beginning, a claim which rings hollow. Recall Obama's positions were so nuanced as to be meaningless. The widespread view in Egypt is he was with the Mubarak government, and the $2 billion in aid will have too many strings attached.

He told the Libyans they wanted to be free. The Libyans already knew that. Obama pledged US help, so I suspect that is one promise he load with so much nuance it cannot be kept.

Obama finally notice Bahrain was having uprising.

Syria is hearing the same sort of double talk the Egyptians heard. Obama told Syria's president Bashar al-Assad he must make nice. There was no stick or carrot. There'll be no good result, and Syrians democracy movement will be alienated from the US..

Give away Israel

Obama insisted Israel pull back to its 1967 borders to achieve peace (this includes giving up Jerusalem). Picking on the little guy is Obama's specialty. If you are small and voiceless, he will use your dead bodies to get what he wants. For some screwy reason, American Jews do not mind if their brethren in Israel take a beating.

Israel have already given up much ground in exchange for peace which subsequently eluded them. The Hamas insists Israel to be removed from the map; they are not seeking peace. Since the Palestinian government is now Hamas hands, Israel has finally recognized land-for-peace swaps will not work.

Historically, such swaps never worked. Hitler said to give the Nazi's the Sudetenland and there would be no more demands. Chamberlain gave the Nazis that part of Czechoslovakia. We all know how well that worked out.

Obama has only one policy matrix. It amounts to eating the unstylish, the voiceless, the un-Politically Correct. Its a policy approach which smashes the little guy and violates human hopes and aspiration. He used it to build his domestic policies, and he uses it to build international policy. What Deficit Are They Looking At?

The main story on Monday was that Standard & Poors kept US government bond ratings at AAA, but cut its outlook from stable to negative. This sent stocks tumbling out of the gate to as low as Dow 12,093 before bouncing over a hundred points. Yet even that finish was still well into the red.

Personally I am shocked and dismayed by this reaction. Why? How could anyone think that our debt situation was actually in good shape?. In fact, how is [the US bond rating] still AAA and not lower? I assumed, falsely I now see, that everyone with an IQ above room temperature was working off the same premise that our deficit was raging out of control. And that, my friends, provides a valuable investing lesson. Don't assume anything.

My strong hope and desire is that this truly lights a fire under our politicians to take make aggressive deficit cuts soon. If not, then our debt ratings will drop while interest rates go higher. This will make financing the debt all the more difficult and wreak havoc on the economy. If we can show resolve to reign in our bad ways now, then this economic recovery can stay on track with stocks moving higher.

Incidentally, Obama's IRS return was released yesterday. He made a little more than $1,700,000 last year. I hope the Obamas can survive.

Now the pattern of history of the last thirty years:

1980 - Republican Reagan struggled with a Demo controlled Congress (where the laws are made), and the country went into debt. Mr Reagan won release for productive forces of the economy, and the country did well.

1988 - Republican veep Bush took the reigns of government and more-or-less continued Mr Reagan's policies. Mr GHW Bush was not as charming as Mr Reagan, and had a tough time with the Demos in Congress (where the laws are made). The country went into debt. The economy wobbled. The country did okay.

1992- Demo Clinton set a record debt with a Demo controlled Congress.

1994 - The People got sensible and put the Republicans in control of Congress. Debt burden and economic stricture eased. The "Democratic" Party & Demo Clinton stole the credit for debt reduction. Nonetheless, the country did well.

2000 - Mr "Compassionate Conservative," GW Bush took over and browbeat the Republican Congress into stupid RINO liberalism. Mr Bush was a likable man, or else this probably would not have happened. In the event, the country accumulated debt, but the economy did okay.

2006 - Demos take control of Congress (where the laws are made) and the country went into economic paralysis. The "Democratic" Party controlled press blamed GW Bush.

2008 - The Demos got the White House too. The country goes into a total tailspin, the lose of liberty is epic, and the debt grows like never before in history.

2010 -

Cookie Drive

The Treasury has issued trillions of new US Government debt. That made the normal liquidity (loan) market dry up for private borrowing by small fry like us citizens. Meanwhile the big corporate names like General Electric have gone on a borrowing spree. The big corporations have the resources (and Obama Administration backing) to pay back huge loans. Which they will do with cheaper dollars once the Obama government created inflation kicks in.

You see, the Federal Reserve announced last week they will buy US Government Treasury notes. The government will directly buy government debt. This hokey move, not used since the Carter Administration, insures we will have inflation pretty darn soon. Anticipating this, the dollar has fallen 30% against the Yen.

The Obama sponsored inflation will rob the Americans who are trying to save up dollars to pay for the massive increase in taxation the Obama crowd have devised. Which means your first free medicine under the GI Issued medical plan will be aspirin for that whopping headache....

Whoops! The Obama Administration won't start dispensing free medicines until 2012.

Officious Obama & Co. have run up the debt by $3 trillion in two years. Mr Bush and his group ran up the debt by less than $1 trillion in 8 years. Mr Bush was a leftist who was not really good for the nation, but he was a nice guy. At least Mr Obama can spend like there's no tomorrow.

Its been more than 18 months since the Obama Administration launched the Stimulus Bill. There is something about 18 months in the US Economy. 18 months is how long it takes for a government economic act to manifest itself fully. The current economic doldrums are entirely the result of the economic planning of the Obama Administration and its cronies. When they took over, they tried to micromanage everything. Naturally they failed.

Remember that heroic Stimulus Bill? Spending the stimulus money would be "done wisely and would create jobs." Sarcastically put, the bill saved us from the terrors of 8% unemployment. So far, Stimulus 1.0 and subsequent government indebtedness have worked as well as any thinking person expected they would. So Mr Obama and his cronies are humping for Stimulus 2.0 as our way out of the economic slump. This shows that chronic obsessive behavior is unfortunate for an individual and a disaster for the nation.

But the slightly psychotic Mr Obama can't let go. He promised to re-make the nation. It worked. He remade us from a reasonably happy nation with a somewhat troubled economy, from full employment into a nation which may soon be sucking around for basics like shelter and food.

Government Controlled Health Care

The only conceivable role for government in health care is control of contagious diseases. When an epidemic breaks out, government organization might be effective. Despite its merciless wastefulness, government is intended to handle problems no one individual can.

The Leftists' health control plan is designed to handle the same problems the individual handles better. This shows the greedy, grasping nature of the politicians involved. They seek to overthrow the authority of the individual in personal health.

Through public debt, this Democreep government seeks to completely destroy all health. What sort of health care will be left when the economy itself is so sick? Do you want to trust yourself to people who have already proven they cannot do the job?

Carbon Credit Creepiness and The End of Merit

Merit, which used to define how far some one could rise, is being tossed aside. The non-political classes (read us) have had it too good on our own merit. The new policy will direct the common masses (again, read us) move about less, consume less, and lose individual liberty. This is for Mother Earth, the neo-pagan goddess. Individuals are unimportant. Think loss of traditional humanity.

The religious social design being implemented in Washington DC is one of conventionalized norms. Lest you think the convention is one of personal liberty and responsibility, think again. This is a neo-pagan norm, determined the Democreep convention. There will be no tolerance of straying from the 'right' path laid down by party diktat.

What, you say, Mommy Earth does not speak? Oh? AlGore insists she has. Thousands of "scientists" (with government funding) insist she has. Anyone with a hand in the pie, eating your plums, will agree. Therefore, the Democreep controlled government says, We Must Control Demon Carbon.

Weird, isn't it? The carbon penalty is politically sensitive. If a state practiced good government, tolerated religion well, and permitted its people to proceed with their lives, Those States! Those are the ones who have refused to go deeply into debt and come up bankrupt. Those villains will now feel the Wrath and Grate of the Rich and Powerful Obamunists!

The carbon cap and trade rules are rigged to heavily disfavor states with traditional administrations, states which dared not to favor the Great Lord Obama.

Individual freedom will now die. Deviance will not be tolerated. Only top-down, government issued, single policy will be permitted. All other views are heretical and must be punished. In the name of the Mother Earth... The American people must bow to this theological tyranny.

Mr Obama says he admires Abraham Lincoln. Then why is he copying Richard Nixon's economic (how about burglary) policies? Most Americans are too ignorant to know that the darling of the Left is copying the failed policies of the Nixon era; policies which started in the delights of high inflation, poor jobs, tin soldiers, and a general invasion of privacy.

After Mr Nixon was ejected from office by the Democreep controlled media, Americans elected Jimmy Carter. Carter gave us more and more of the same failed Nixonian policies. Things got so bad that era is called the Great Malaise.

Brace yourselves. It going to get worse. Another Nixon invention, the Environmental Protection Agency, is going to be used to justify the taxing and regulating the living snot out of anyone who dares to make anything for the rest of us.

The Democreeps finally found their dream man. Mr Obama is going to rush through all the oppressive moves of both Nixon and Carter. We will be lucky to get out alive.

Since the Fascist Left Democreeps have been in the business of making the dead vote, manufacturing new voters out of thin air, faking ballots, and faking returns. Then they blame their whorish bull on Republicans... what can they be talking about?

Billions of taxpayer dollars are being diverted to feed Leftist pet organizations, like ACORN, and Mr Obama's close adviser Jeffrey Immelt's GE corporation. Outright Fraud? Ya s'pose?

Blameless and worse

A friend tried to argue the Democrats are blameless by pointing out the current slowdown started during the Bush presidency. That's a pretty stupid remark if you recall that Congress is where the law and economic policy are made. A quick review of the timeline is in order.

2000 - Bush is elected President in a hotly contested race. Leftwingers never forgive him.
2001 - 7 months into his first term, terrorists attack America, and cause 3000 deaths. Crazy Leftists cheer.
2003 - War in Iraq, Saddam is crushed and flees.
2004 - Bush wins re-election. Leftist controlled press corps winge and slag Bush.
2006 - Democrats win majority of Congress
Remember - US Congress, not the President, controls the purse strings of government. (US Constitution, Article 1, Section 7).
2007 - Rep. Barney Frank (D.-Con) head of Banking and Finance Committee, sees to it real estate loans are rigged to lose banks money. US and world economy hit a high point in October, and wobbles. (Oh, yeah, the Surge in Iraq worked. Insurgents sign on with new Iraqi government.)
2008 - Economy slumping accelerates --- Democrats yelp only they can fix this (even though they caused it). They must have the Presidency, so they have unchecked power....

Although only the Democrats controlled Congress in 2007 and therefore only they made fiscal policy in 2007, the public inexplicably blame President Bush and the way outnumbered Congressional Republicans, sending even more Democrats to Congress in 2009. Stupid American public.

Democrats proceed to screw the electorate. Unless the public wakes up, its only going to get worse. Leftists hate you, America.
