Riots & Politics - a connection

Do you suppose the riot-torn American cities have anything in common?

Minneapolis, MN, Mayor Jacob Frey (D*)
Cleveland, OH, Mayor Frank George Jackson (D)
Cincinnati, OH, Mayor John Joseph Cranley, (D)
Los Angeles, CA, Mayor Eric Michael Garcetti (D)
Columbus, OH, Mayor Andrew James Ginther (D)
Austin, TX, Mayor Stephen Ira Adler (D)
Philadelphia, PA, Mayor James Francis Kenney (D)

It's likely there is something about the policies of the left-of-center "Democratic" Party that inspire rioting.

But let's not forget New York City's mayor Bill deBlasio (D) and how after he got tired of the rioters, simply switched them off.  No more riots in NYC.  How'd he do that?  Did deBlasio finally decide to do his job as mayor and stop the riots?  Or does he have an in with the riot organizers?

A noteworthy note: Political demonstrations are not riots. Riots are criminal activity.  Demonstrations are a sign of a vibrant and healthy political body.

* Frey actually refers to his political alignment as "Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party".
