NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) ordered the release of thousands of violent criminals, supposedly because of COVID (City of New York fact sheet). It appears releasing criminals to save criminals' lives risks civilians' lives.
NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said “We have made staggering numbers of gun arrests, taking guns off the streets from felons … but when you look, three days later, four days later, those individuals are back on the street committing more gun violence” (Red State).
Predators were released. Violent crime increased. Its the criminals, not the guns.
