Democrats take one Senate seat in Georgia

and maybe the other....

Anyway, the Democrats now completely control the US government.  They have 50% of the US Senate. Recall that in the event of a tie vote in the Senate, the Vice President votes and breaks the tie.

The turnout for Democrats was enormous.  Some blame Trump for the Loeffler loss (Mediaite).

A look at the totals (Decision Desk HQ).

Dave Wasserman called the Loeffler race so early, Twitter hit him with a warning label (Twitter).

He also gave Ossoff the win late in the evening, thought the race was still tight and Perdue had a slight lead at midnight (Twitter).

From Rich Lowry: At least Lin Wood ought to be pleased (Twitter).

Ben Domenech reminds us “Georgia recount margin is 0.5%, so Perdue-Ossoff looks headed for that. So we’re about to have a lot more everyone’s favorite “call, what call” SecState Brad Raffensperger in our lives, and as added drama, he *hates* Perdue” (Twitter).
