Debt Doomsday

On July 12th, Obama warned that Social Security checks might not get paid on August 3rd if the debt limit is not increased.

Everyone knows the "Democratic" Party was taking money from the Social Security Trust to fund their two year, off-budget, spending spree in 2009 and 2010.

Obama is telling us the "Democratic" Party blew through your Social Security savings in only 2 years. Democrats already spent every nickel in the Social Security Trust fund -- so are we supposed to increase their debt limit?

I've got a better idea. Clearly Obama and his buddies have corrupted the balance sheet of America. Lets take Obama and the Democrats out of office and put them in prison where the other criminals are.

Congress Loots Another Trillion.

Its reminiscent of looters when they realize the jig is up, and they have only a little more time to finish stealing. This is criminal behavior. Alas, it is too frequent in the Congress of the United States.

Another trillion dollars in debt. Merry Christmas America. Your "Democratic" Party controlled Congress is doing its worst to sell your future. Congress has added another trillion dollar, stupid spending bill to their lengthy gravy train. More than 6500 earmarks are in this one, amounting to over $48 billion in pork. Its all payoff for special interests who helped elect these squealing frauds. "$247,000 for virus-free grapes in Washington State." Sakes!

It is criminal behavior. Porking on this level is adding to the crippling effect this Congress has had for the last four years they have made the law of the land. Added to all their reckless spending and stupid regulation, it'll be a wonder if we don't hang them for treason.

Billions in Equality!

Many private US companies have billions of dollars in cash reserves. Today's stylish Leftist is insisting those private companies ought not to be driven by profit, but ought to be forced by government to use up cash reserves to hire people and "end the recession." The indignant whiner will say, "profit" as though it were an obscenity.

Yep. This indignant Leftist rave was heard this morning on CNBC, the television arm of the the General Electric (Obama's pet corporation).

But wait, GE! Private companies are saving that money to pay huge new health care taxes imposed by greedy Democratic Party politicians. Obama's minions say the companies must have the tax money or else.

What about some companies are making profit! How about taxing that away to hire people to do something. After all it would be compassionate to "put people first," or some similar pack of garbage. The greedy "Democratic" politicians ignore the fact that we need to have profitable companies if we are ever going to get out of this depression.

The American Economic Depression is caused by government re-allocation resources in a way which is so wasteful that no one can make plans. If the Left were truly serious about easing unemployment and starting economic recovery, they would celebrate whenever a company made profit.

The greedy Democratic Party sees a patch of green in the economic landscape and they start screeching about "profit! profit! profit!" They go set fire to the profitable living spot of the economy, to make sure there is nothing for everyone.

Rundown Daily - Questions about Sestak

The egObama Administration is accused of offering command of the US Navy to Joe Sestak if he would drop out of the primary race against with a more reliable voting record, the far leftist Arlen Specter.

Its safe to say Mr Obama has control of a large segment of the "liberal" press.

Weirdly, on MSNBC's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough took on NBC's Political Director and Chief White House Correspondent Chuck Todd. Stammering Todd appears to see nothing wrong with bribing a candidate with your money and safety, so that candidate will drop out of a political race. Scarborough tried to get to the truth pretty well.

Mr Todd tried for moral equivocation, saying the Bush Administration did it. Mr Scarborough correctly pointed out the Bush Administration did not do anything like this. Mr Todd's slithering is pretty impressive.

Questions about Obamanomics

America's economic indicators are down for the month, as bad as they were in August 2009. Everything the Administration has done has been at best of no effect. Since we haven't gotten the bill yet, more likely everything the Administration has done is wrong. Very wrong.

Mr Obama promised change. Economic change will be hard. Hard on the rich, hard on the poor, and hard on us in between. The only people change won't be hard on is Mr Obama and his cronies.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's gun control advocacy group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG), began running television ads urging Congress to "close the gun show loophole." Page 34 of MAIG's Blueprint for Federal Action on guns says that the group supports H.R. 2324 and S. 843 -- bills that would require National Instant Check System (NICS) checks on private sales of firearms at gun shows. The bills also contain provisions designed to drive gun shows out of business.

Bloomberg's MAIG ads claim "The Columbine school massacre ... killers got their guns because of a gap in the law, called the 'gun show loophole.'" And in a related press release, MAIG claims "All four guns used in the Columbine shootings were bought from private sellers at gun shows."

Those claims are lies, of course.

What else has this former Democratic, former RINO, political class member done lately for the good of the powerful, rich, elitists?

"Nothing" Is Made in the USA

Why is so little made in the USA anymore?

Karl Marx (Mr Obama's patron saint) would say profit is the alienation of the value of labor from the laborer. He reasoned that eventually the cost of a product is parceled out to someone, not something; no thing would have any use for money. Money eventually has to go to some person, be that the laborer, or the owner (presumably a capitalist), or government as taxes.

For years, the American Left has sold the idea that the only way to establish social equity is the tax away the portion the business owner gets. All this time, the Left has added to the worker's tax burden. In my home state of Washington, there are three different taxes imposed on the employer for each worker. Each tax must be calculated and paid separately. You already know about income tax.

This has to add to the cost of production, and thereby add to the price of the product. More expenses makes things more expensive. The cost of taxes are hidden in the price of the product. When the government becomes too greedy in pursuit of their own lavish (unearned) lifestyles, the high taxes they charge will cut the consumption of domestic product.

America is in such a nose-down spiral. Greedy Leftists demand high taxes so America don't produce very much for domestic use. The perpetual imbalance of payments in international trade spring from the fact that American product has to be priced to pay for a bloated government.

Americans aren't lazy; Americans see little incentive for hard work and would rather get out of the taxable economy. Even the best workers in the world will balk at producing a product if much of their earnings go to taxes. The employer and investors likewise see return evaporate to taxes.

The American public is alienated from its own production by the money grubbing Leftist politicians. Overbearing government made "Made in USA" a rarity.

But wait! That's not all!

Just like the money of the price goes to someone, so every tax takes from someone. If that someone has the money to pay taxes (that is, not a net beneficiary of government taxes) if figures that person is producing something. We can follow the taxes just like we can follow the money.

Nearly everyone pays property tax. If you rent an apartment from your landlord, you must realize the property tax the landlord pays comes out of your rent. If proper tax goes up, so will your rent. You pay the tax. And roughly one third to one half of your rent goes away as taxes.

Don't figure your landlord is greedy, just because the politicians tell you so. Landlords are in a very tax sensitive business. If you want to find out what home ownership is all about, buy a place. If you can master the difficult business of staying out of default, more power to you.

Sales taxes hurt a different way. Often called a consumption tax, sales (and excise) taxes cut incentive to earn because they make spending less pleasant. Workers are left scrambling to make the basics, like food and clothing, not to mention property tax bloated shelter.

Finally, government regulates. Basic levels of regulation are necessary for an ordered society, like laws against violent crime. But modern American Leftist politicians have raised government regulations to a bizarre liturgy imposed upon businesses and people. Witness the stupid regulation the EPA imposed prohibiting a landlord from painting more than 25 square feet of his property without lead abatement licensees. Implicitly, according to the EPA, landlords are cavalier about the safety of their tenants. Lanlords willy nilly stir up lead druing painting so their tenants can suffer all kinds of health problems and not be able to pay the rent. Then landlords get the joy of evicting the tenant. The EPA publication does not go that far, but its fair to speculate why they add regulation we have lived without for centuries.

This bit of arrogance is not even a tax, but it makes the job of providing housing more expensive. Given the added expense, privately supplied housing will start to go away. Give that prediction a few years to play out. Government controlled housing will become the only useable choice.

There is a point when government passes beyond what is socially useful and becomes burden on its own. Regulation and taxation become the ends. Arrogant taxation and regulation are the incentive of despotic power. We are there, campers.

Health Control Update

Nothing good ever happens in the middle of the night. The Democreeps used a middle of the night vote to eliminate discussion on a very sweeping health care underhaul.

The AP story goes on to say the health care access control "try to slow ruinous increases in medical costs." The only way the nation can reduce health care cost is if we get the Democreeps and bureaucrats and lawyers out of the doctors' way. This government control bill does the exact opposite. Meanwhile, the bill will increase at least $1 Trillion dollars. This is Democrazy cost control, corruption style.

If costs are being controlled, who gets that extra trillion? Lawyers. The American Bar Association is the largest, reliable supporter of the exceptionally greedy Democreep Party.

Obama asserted the enormous increase in spending will cut the national debt. After the lies Mr Obama published about the "Stimulus Package" last January (and the way it took care of every economic problem), reasonable people realize the President is insane or a crook.

After this epic period of corruption, the Democreeps reckon they will have so much money stashed away they will be able to buy the next "election." The American experiment may be over.

Rationing Health Care

Government control of health care access: Other countries have tried it, other countries have shown us the way. Millions will suffer, thousands will die because of federalized health care. What can you do to get the care you need?

"Christmas is almost here. Have you bought something nice for your physician?

"No? Then you have not understood what the health care law is going to do to doctor-patient relationships.

"Does the word "rationing" come to mind?

"There are two ways of allocating scarce resources: by price or by decree. Health care is already under price controls for Medicare patients. This is going to spread.

"More demand. Fixed prices. Result: delays.

"If you ever have a condition that you think should be treated now, but the system says you must wait, you need an advocate to speak on your behalf. That advocate is your physician.

"Anything you can do today to improve your doctor-patient relationship is wise.

"If you are on Medicare, you are not allowed to pay a higher fee for service to anyone who services Medicare patients. But once a year, he can legally accept a Christmas gift, even if he's Jewish. Make it a nice one. Don't send a fruitcake.

"Enclose a card saying you appreciate his efforts on your behalf. It's part of the Christmas season."

Health Care Underhaul

Expect the action to pick up. Up 'til now, all this plotting has been in secret. The "Democratic" Party is in the public phase of ramming government control of health care access down the throat of the American people. What new? Nothing.

"Higher premiums, tax increases and Medicare cuts to pay for more government. The American people know that is not reform," Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Republican leader, said.

"Reid, D-Nev., wrote the legislation with White House aides during weeks of secretive negotiations, selecting elements from two committee-passed bills with the aim of securing the necessary 60 votes in a Senate debate that will be decisive for Obama's health care agenda."

Only when the "Democratic" Party's donors, the American Bar Association, started screwing with American medicine, things started to go bad. So the ABA whistled and the "Democratic" Party came loping with its tongue lolling out.

Carbon Tax, part deux

The economy sputters, thousands, no, millions have lost their jobs, and there is to be a carbon tax on production?

Please pardon my frankness, but this is (still) insane. Besides, the case for global warming is evaporating. We are suffering one of the coolest summers I recall.

The carbon tax fraud continues. there is no equal to a politician's greed. Many Representatives and Senators must be called to account for this. Check the sidebar and contact yours.

Decline, Poverty, and Obama-Land

According to an AP story, 3/20/09, "Congressional auditors said President Barack Obama's budget would produce $9.3 trillion in deficits." This is 4 times Mr Bush's rate of deficit spending.

Mr Obama proposes a boat load of new taxes, electricity up 50%, gasoline up 50%, inheritance tax up a lot in order to destroy family businesses, and other taxes. Mr Obama reckons this increase in taxation should knock out the last of the free enterprise system, leaving only the slave system in place.

All so Mr Obama can fund his vast government supervision of your health care. Government spending will increase to at least 27% of the national output. Consider... government control of 1 out of every 4 jobs. Traditionally, the government employees are not interested in providing service, since their government employer requires much brown nosing. Forget about getting a Doctor appointment on time. The Obama Health care plan puts politicians like him first in line, and you get the die first plan.

Look forward to no industrial product made in USA. Instead there are more imports, and since we have little to trade, higher prices. Behold the Third World USA. The Obama-Land vision is of a post-industrial America, more like a no-industry America. This poisonous vision is will result in something like pre-industrial Europe. We become a medieval society, a land of craft guilds and a huge number of serfs, and aristocracy of favored Democreeps.

It's not much of a stretch to see Obama-Land evolving into Al Gore's plan to make a corridor more or less between the routes of I-80 and I-90 devoid of human settlement (proposed by Gore in 1977). Naturally, this emptied land would require government supervisors, which is another way of saying government pets and officials would have homes in the resulting wilderness. Obama-Land would clear vast areas of human settlement for government luxury villas. This is the level of arrogation we have to contend with.

As Mrs. Lovejoy used to say on the Simpsons, "Won't somebody please think of the children." There's got to be some way we can get this guy to quit.

Never Ending Bailout

The recent economic problems are pretty simple at root. The president elect promised change, and higher taxation for successful investment. People with savings and investment are panicked! They are sure change, i.e. "upheaval," is coming. The economy slumped because of this. The best medicine is to make no change, no government meddling interference, and wait. Things got worse in a hurry. Overcoming panic and restoring confidence that the government means no malice will take a long while.

Will Americans wait? Or will they insist the politicians screw it up more? Things don't look good. Obama and the rest of the politicians have already announced the intention spend $775 Billion on more bailout for their buddies (The "Economic Stimulus Package"). That's $2000 more from each of us for the politicians' pals and hacks.
